Organized by Adam Wiseman, Digital Learning and Innovation Coordinator, McDowell County Schools and Stacy Lovdahl, Educator on Loan, NCDPI Digital Teaching and Learning, our goal is to provide teachers with access to the expertise of North Carolina educators and beyond, who are successfully using virtual/distance learning tools and strategies.Carrie Robledo has been an educator for 13 years. She has experience as an Exceptional Children’s teacher, a 5th grade classroom teacher, a Digital Integration Facilitator, Educator on Loan to NCDPI, and now Computer Science Research Scholar at the Friday Institute. Carrie is passionate about sharing STEM resources with teachers from across the country and she advocates for equitable STEM access for all students. In 2017 Carrie was the first educator to bring drones to Moore County Schools and she created a drone coding and engineering strand for 3rd-8th grade students. Carrie is the 2020-2021 NCTIES Outstanding Teacher of the Year, the 2019-2020 Moore County Schools Teacher of the Year, a 2017-2018 North Carolina Digital Leaders Coaching Network alumni, and a 2018-2019 Kenan Fellow.
