You will then be able to Add sessions to your schedule and get virtual meeting access information specific to each session.

⭐️Once you add a session to your Schedule, it virtually "reserves" your spot. If you are unable to attend one of your reserved sessions, please remove it from your Schedule ASAP. In addition, we have limited access to only allow for adding one session per time slot.
⭐️Sessions marked as Full, will NOT BE ABLE TO BE JOINED.
⚠️Due to the virtual, open nature of our event, reserving your virtual seat does not necessarily guarantee your spot in the presenter’s chosen video conference platform. Both the presenters and event facilitators are not responsible for guaranteeing your virtual seat. We have tried to employ strategies to reduce the chance of this from happening.

Video Killed the Media Literacy Star: How to determine Fact Vs Fiction In a World Where Seeing is No Longer Believing

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
From FaceTune to DeepFakes, we live in a world in which trusting what we see with our own two eyes is no longer an effective media literacy strategy. And with so much of the information we consume being accessed as images or videos, our media literacy efforts must evolve to help today’s learners (and their teachers!) determine what’s real, what's fabricated and what’s been altered to influence rather than inform. In this session we’re going to explore the intersection of visual and information literacy while uncovering strategies for helping learners (of all ages) determine fact from fiction when seeing is no longer believing.
