You will then be able to Add sessions to your schedule and get virtual meeting access information specific to each session.

⭐️Once you add a session to your Schedule, it virtually "reserves" your spot. If you are unable to attend one of your reserved sessions, please remove it from your Schedule ASAP. In addition, we have limited access to only allow for adding one session per time slot.
⭐️Sessions marked as Full, will NOT BE ABLE TO BE JOINED.
⚠️Due to the virtual, open nature of our event, reserving your virtual seat does not necessarily guarantee your spot in the presenter’s chosen video conference platform. Both the presenters and event facilitators are not responsible for guaranteeing your virtual seat. We have tried to employ strategies to reduce the chance of this from happening.

Building Robots to Build Relationships

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
We started a schoolwide robotics program where students are paired with a teacher from another grade level and different peers to learn to build and code a new type of robot each year. At the end of the year, we do a schoolwide showcase where the students model their projects they created with research and makerspace skills on how their robot could be used to solve "real world" problems. We would bring various robots for attendees to play with and share student project examples so they can see how it looks K-5. We would also talk about how we got funding and how to start small and grow a program teachers and principals may be interested in starting. We will address how we used this program to build positive relationships with adults and students as well as positive peer relationships. This would be a great launch in districts for other schools to follow.
