You will then be able to Add sessions to your schedule and get virtual meeting access information specific to each session.

⭐️Once you add a session to your Schedule, it virtually "reserves" your spot. If you are unable to attend one of your reserved sessions, please remove it from your Schedule ASAP. In addition, we have limited access to only allow for adding one session per time slot.
⭐️Sessions marked as Full, will NOT BE ABLE TO BE JOINED.
⚠️Due to the virtual, open nature of our event, reserving your virtual seat does not necessarily guarantee your spot in the presenter’s chosen video conference platform. Both the presenters and event facilitators are not responsible for guaranteeing your virtual seat. We have tried to employ strategies to reduce the chance of this from happening.

Engaging Students in Science and Social Studies

Feedback form is now closed.
In this session I will share a few Sites I have developed throughout the year. These sites are loaded with resources that facilitate digital learning of all 4th grade Science and Social Studies standards. In the session I will share my Sites and my methods of facilitating the learning.
This is a short overview: Students complete a variety of tasks, at their own pace, after reading books online, viewing videos, or reading online articles that are linked on the site. Google docs shared in Google Classroom are where individual students enter their responses to the tasks - and provide me insight into their work giving accountability for my benefit. There is a gamification element to this as points are given for each task. Tablemates become teammates. The leaderboard tells the individual who has accomplished the most tasks but teams go for the prize.
After sharing and explaining, I will have online documents where everyone in the session can put resources they have found to teach specific standards in Science and Social Studies 3rd - 5th. We can work to compile a vast resource for others to develop Sites for their students. Anyone attending the session will gain insight in a way to gamifiy curriculum to engage students using Google Sites. Some instruction for Google Sites will be provided if needed.
