You will then be able to Add sessions to your schedule and get virtual meeting access information specific to each session.

⭐️Once you add a session to your Schedule, it virtually "reserves" your spot. If you are unable to attend one of your reserved sessions, please remove it from your Schedule ASAP. In addition, we have limited access to only allow for adding one session per time slot.
⭐️Sessions marked as Full, will NOT BE ABLE TO BE JOINED.
⚠️Due to the virtual, open nature of our event, reserving your virtual seat does not necessarily guarantee your spot in the presenter’s chosen video conference platform. Both the presenters and event facilitators are not responsible for guaranteeing your virtual seat. We have tried to employ strategies to reduce the chance of this from happening.

Class Notebooks + Papercuits Visions = Lightbulb Moments!
Explore ways to use paper based electronics in notebooks to make them interactive, engaging, and purposeful. My students have designed notebooks to integrate paper circuits with makey makey kits, led’s, and art. These interactive notebooks showcase instructional content, graphic organizers, teach and assess vocabulary. This technology is innovative and practical as it connects STEAM with writing and enhances learning outcomes in all subjects. We are creating a new vision for 2020 learners!

Coding with CoSpaces: Bringing Learning to Life at Elise Middle School
“Seeing is believing” and in this student showcase, participants will be immersed in a world of student created virtual reality. From the hydrosphere, ecosystems, and genetics, 8th grade students at Elise Middle School are using CoSpaces to code their own virtual reality experiences to bring science standards to life. Students will share the CoSpaces that they have created and conference attendees will learn how they can use this technology to create their own experiences with students!

Digital Storytelling through Scratch Coding
6th Grade ELA students from WYWLA will showcase their digital storytelling narrative using Scratch (https://scratch.mit.edu/). Students wrote their own short story based on the Hero’s Journey archetype. They then used the code program to bring one scene to life using character sprites, relevant backdrops, movement, and sound (Standards RL.6.6 & W.6.3). Students will use laptops to display their Scratch narratives to attendees and teach attendees to write programs using the Scratch code blocks.

EarSight: Using Flipgrid as an Assistive Technology Tool for Visually Impaired Students
School: Elise Middle School

Elise Elite is a rookie FLL team consisting of 6th and 8th-grade students. We are an all-female team that strongly believes in the empowerment of women to contribute to the advancement of STEM fields. Elise Elite has a fierce determination to make a positive impact in our community through our innovation. Our strong ideals have fueled us to use what we have wisely in our pursuit of cooperation, creativity, and greater accessibility in our society.
Our school, Elise Middle, was established in 1903. The school is very spread out and the buildings are not connected. We have a student at our school who is blind and we noticed he had a hard time getting around safely and independently.  To provide support to this student, we use the app Flipgrid to create "EarSight". With this app, the student identifies the QR code using a braille trigger on the classroom door. The student scans the QR code and a voice tells you where you are, the subject, and who the teacher is. It will help visually impaired students navigate around school.

Envision This: Read, Record & Reflect to Assess!
Students at WYWLA will address ELA & Science standards by showcasing their screencasts (screencastomatic.com, free), Flipgrid (@flipgrid.com, free), & Green Screen (doink.com, $2.99). The ELA portion compared a refugee character to a character in Inside Out and Back Again. Science was incorporated through a PSA about an environmental issue. Laptop stations will be used which will provide attendees the opportunity to create their own vision of screencasts, Flipgrids, and digital portfolios.

A Vision of Coding In Our Community - Bit-by-Bit
Students integrated coding skills and the development of apps to bring awareness to their local community. Partnering with local tourism, students used Bit Robots and mobile app applications to develop a mobile app with challenges that would monitor footsteps and health indicators. Future smart cities are connected cities. This place-based learning experience allowed an opportunity to connect students with our city's revitalization efforts and share the information with citizens and tourists.

Technology and Bilingual Learners
Bilingual learners need to use academic language to succeed. Technology engages learners in higher level thinking, allowing them to use language authentically. We used Spheros to envision solutions to practical problems. Our vision was to look at the future of space exploration by using robots and learning the language of science. We also explored the current problem of plastic in the oceans and how robots can clean the ocean with cause and effect language. Technology gives vision our future.
