You will then be able to Add sessions to your schedule and get virtual meeting access information specific to each session.

⭐️Once you add a session to your Schedule, it virtually "reserves" your spot. If you are unable to attend one of your reserved sessions, please remove it from your Schedule ASAP. In addition, we have limited access to only allow for adding one session per time slot.
⭐️Sessions marked as Full, will NOT BE ABLE TO BE JOINED.
⚠️Due to the virtual, open nature of our event, reserving your virtual seat does not necessarily guarantee your spot in the presenter’s chosen video conference platform. Both the presenters and event facilitators are not responsible for guaranteeing your virtual seat. We have tried to employ strategies to reduce the chance of this from happening.

Julie Grindstaff

McDowell High School
History Teacher
Marion, NC
Hi Y’all! I am Julie Winslette Grindstaff. I am an experienced educator with over a decade in the classroom and beyond. I hold a B.A. in History and a M. Ed. in Library Media. Originally from Warner Robins, Georgia, I have been lucky enough to have taught in Georgia at the International Academy of Smyrna, in the metro-Atlanta area, where I served as a Media Specialist, MYP IB Design Teacher, and Testing Coordinator. After moving to Western North Carolina, I taught history at Mountain Youth Academy, a psychiatric residential facility for children with trauma, and made my transition to teaching American History (Soon to be EPF) at McDowell High School in August of 2019. I am obsessed with all things #edtech from HyperDocs to FlipGrid to BrushNinja! I focus on student engagement and output through a student-focused learning environment. When I am not buried in the computer world, I am married to an amazing human (Jaime), and a loving dog mom to Calypso and Maverick (my Golden Retrievers). I am a true 90s music aficionado, lover of all things John Hughes, sound like Scarlet O’Hara at the burning of “Alanna”, believe in big hair, big mouths, and teaching students in authentic ways.
